Canada Post Letter-post postage rates above are effective as of January 10, 2024.
Canada Post’s Letter-post services provide mail delivery for United States and International destinations. The Letter-post mail stream welcomes both personal and business mailers, provided that the pieces are paper-based. To clarify:
*A selfmailer is a standalone mail piece with the address inkjet or printed directly onto the flyer, postcard, magazine, etc. Selfmailers are accepted under most postal streams (including Personalized Mail) and do not require envelopes, polybags or other mail enclosures. Selfmailers with multiple pages and/or folds may require additional clear tabs or clip seals to meet machineable mail requirements.
Standard Letter-post must be 50 grams or less, and land within the dimensions below:
Minimum dimensions: 140 mm x 90 mm x 0.18 mm (thickness)
Maximum dimensions: 245 mm x 156 mm x 5 mm (thickness)
Minimum dimensions: 140 mm x 90 mm x 0.18 mm (thickness)
Maximum dimensions: 235 mm x 120 mm x N/A
All Letter-post mail items must be rectangular. Irregular inserts are acceptable as long as they are sealed in an approved enclosure and meet these sizing requirements. Oversize mailers up to 500 grams are classified and billed as Other Letter-post:
Minimum dimensions: 140 mm x 90 mm x 0.18 mm (thickness)
Maximum dimensions: 380 mm x 270 mm x 20 mm (thickness)
Letter-post delivery turnarounds are generally 4-6 business days for US mailings, and 4-7 business days for International mail fulfillment.
